Goats, sheep, and chickens belong on the farm, not in the middle of 1st period calculus. It was another boring Tuesday, and I could not believe that I had to take yet another test.
“I hate calculus.” I thought to myself.
I was not looking forward the chapter 11 test, because of course; I was not good at math, and calculus was not the easiest class. But being a senior, I had no choice but to take it. Fortunately, I had a little bit of incite on this subject. My older brother was tutoring me now and then over the internet, and lucky for me, he was online last night.
“Bryan, you HAVE to help me. I have my chapter 11 calculus test tomorrow, and I have NO clue what to do. I don’t even sleep in class and I am more lost then any other student…that does sleep.”
Of course he laughed at this. He had no pity, because I had grown up being the “genius” of the family. I had no clue how, but apparently I was supposed to be really good at math. In 7th grade I took honors algebra, and by 9th grade I was on to algebra 2 honors, and pre-calculus. Unfortunately, this class was not as easy as I thought it would be, and I was slipping…miserably.
So as it turned out, my brother decided to take a little sympathy and tutored me, we got through the whole chapter.
I walked in to my classroom expecting to see the usual. Every desk filled except mine, in the very back left-hand corner. On every desk sat a white packet of papers, and on the board in big bold letters it read “TEST TODAY. SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP,” but surprisingly, today was not the usual set up. I walked in to find four goats, three sheep, and six chickens. Everyone was aghast and no one knew what was going on, except three bulky seniors that were hovering in the doorway, laughing hysterically. That is when Ashley walked in.
Ashley was one of the popular kids of our school. She was beautiful, smart, and was captain of the cheerleading squad. Her family owned a big 30 acre farm on the outskirts of town, and she drove to school in her jet black Mercedes Benz. When she walks in the room, the world stops; today when she walked in the room, all hell broke loose.
“MOCHA, JEWEL, ABBY, MINNIE! What are my goats doing in here? Oh my, are those my sheep and chickens? Who did this??? I want answers NOW.”
Everyone was silent. No one knew who had pulled this prank. We have known that someone would pull a senior prank, but no one knew when and who. Now, Ashley was not happy, and everyone wanted to know who had it out for her, enough to kidnap her farm animals.
Apparently, Ashley knew.
“Derrick Jacobs. I know he did this. Where is that boy? I’m going to kill him,” Ashley screamed.
Just then, one of the bulky men standing in the doorway walked over to her.
“You asked for me?” The smug look on his face said it all and Ashley was not amused.
“What is your problem? I break up with you for cheating on me and you put my goats in my calculus class? How mature is that? I want you dealt with as harshly and possible.”
“You didn’t think I was going to let someone else pull the big senior prank did I? Come on, you know me better then that Ash. It just helped a little that I had someone break my heart a week before my plan was to take action.”
“Is that what you call a broken heart? Well maybe you shouldn’t have kissed her, IN MY HOUSE. I don’t feel one bit sorry for you. I hate you”
The look on his face turned from enjoyment and confidence, to pure anguish, and everyone knew her words had cut open his heart, but just as he was about to open his mouth to object, in walked Mr. Bugle and Mrs. Jiffry.
“Mr. Jacobs. I have heard everything, and your confession truly saves us a lot of work. Off we go to my office; you will not be getting away with this one,” Boomed Mr. Bugle, as Derrick shuffled out of the room.
“What am I supposed to do with these animals?” Mrs. Jiffry had a look of pure disgust on her face.
“I’ll call my father to get them picked up. He can bring the trailer.”
After Ashley left the room, Hysterics erupted from the classroom. The people gathered in the hall began to disperse giggling to themselves, and our class began to get seated. I could not wash the giant smile off my face and I thought nothing could, because I knew we would not have our test.
Just then I heard “Take out a number two pencil and begin your chapter 11 test,” and I was proved wrong; the smile was gone.

The aliens have landed!
Aliens have landed on Earth, and it is my responsibility to convince them whether or not to spare us, or to slaughter us. I believe that the aliens should spare us, because we are a very intelligent species.
The aliens should work together with us, to create an alliance which could be very useful in the future. What if there was to be another race of creatures? Another race of creatures, that was even more powerful and wanted to wipe out both species, alien and human. If we had an alliance, we would be able to work together to defeat the enemy, and save both life forms.
The aliens should also trust that we will work together peacefully, because of the bonds we have created with our animals on Earth. We have taken our differences and created a bond, and a language in which is special to us. This vary well may be done with the aliens, which could help both species to learn even more, and to expand our knowledge. Humans are very smart creatures. We have advanced from cavemen, to people with masses of new technology that we could share with the aliens. Because we are so different, there is a lot we could show each other, such as survival skills, technology, talents, and much more, that could help us to exist among each other peacefully.
Humans also have not bothered the aliens at all! Therefore, it would be very rude and unjustified of them to wipe out our whole planet. If we were to land on their planet, we would definitely not wipe out their species and all of the work they put in to creating it. All of the work we put in to our planet should not be ruined, because it is very beneficial to learn from. We have learned a lot from our surroundings; there fore our discoveries could be very helpful in the future to creatures from any planet.
I believe the aliens should spare us humans, because we have a lot to offer to their species. If they spare us, we could have a new unbelievable story to share with everyone, one that is out of this world. It would be a new bond and alliance between two strangers that could last through everything. This sparing of humans would be a future, and a story of new friends. It would also be a new and exciting story of trust and of the newly discovered unknown. So please aliens, spare us. You never know what may come out of this kindly act.
